I’m proud to be Puerto Rican. This photograph is created representing our race as Puerto Ricans! The Tainos contributed useful things to our culture, but everything changed with the arrival of the Spaniards, Africans and Americans. Each of these races brought things that today we Puerto Ricans use!  My inspiration was for an essay entitled: “PUERTO RICO UNIDO POR RAZAS”. created by Leandra Rodríguez at the Ponce de León School in Guaynabo, PR. This represents the mixture of roots that in a peculiar way distinguishes us as Puerto Ricans!Puerto Rico is out of league, nor could Maria take you off the map! Los taínos contribuyeron con cosas útiles a nuestra cultura, pero todo cambió con la llegada de los españoles, los africanos y los estadounidenses. ¡Cada una de estas razas trajo cosas que hoy usamos los puertorriqueños!
